happy second blogaversary!

finally the day has arrived! 😀

apple cake 4/14
yummy apple cake I made last week.

I feel really lucky for in these two years of blogging I made friends with many people – true, heartfelt friendships that many times formed bonds stronger than I could have ever imagined. I want to take a moment to thank you all for sticking with me – whether I was walking uphill or downhill you always had good words of encouragement and support, you cheered and laughed, you understood and cared. I cannot thank you all enough for being around, now let’s raise our cuppas and drink to another year of fun together! cheers! salute!

now let’s quit the nonsense, shall we? 🙂 the first clue for this years’ stitch enigma will get posted later on today – don’t worry it won’t be long. 🙂

I made another sticky post with links so that latecomers can understand how things work, just scroll down a bit – every new post will appear underneath.

I’m so thrilled! I can’t wait for the game to begin! read your thoughts, comments, guesses, .. – and by the way, if you don’t see your comment published straight away that’s because the moderation is always on in this blog 🙂

not to worry, it’s comment moderation – not stash moderation! 😀 and since I mentioned stash, check out what happened the other day 😉

a boatload of stash from Nina

among the other things inside there were the new shades she released in April, I’m officially in love with this green! great job, Nina!

I got inspired by these delicate spring/Easter tones and picked my palette for a small detour I took from the mysterious stitching.

supplies for The Snowflower Diaries’ Spring Witch: Nina’s 40ct. Cloudy Sky linen and hand dyed threads.

about 36 hours later, this was the result 🙂

my version of The Snowflower Diaries’ Spring Witch, the Easter Witch! 😉

I’m sorry the indoor lights ruined picture, but as you can see form this screenshot, this is what I’ve been dealing with all week: no sun cooperation whatsoever!

if you like this adorable pattern, you can download it for free from Maja‘s blog, The Snowflower Diaries – and you can take a look at her Etsy shop, she’s a very talented designer, I must get her new releases ’cause they’re adorable!

you can also read my post about this tiny piece (6 x 7 cm) in the Hallowe’en Ornie SAL Blog our friend Jo is running, those ladies are going mad with Halloween stitching and I can’t wait to join them later on this year! 🙂

now I really have to go, breakfast is calling, plus my brain cells demand caffeine anyways.

see you later for the first clue! stay tuned! 🙂
