Chapter 3 – SMALL SAL & goals

before February reaches its half, I would like to sum up my January goals and set new ones which I’m already working on, but it’s nice to keep track. 🙂

January stitching goals:

• finish L*K’s ’13 mystery Holly & Hearts (1st part is almost done) —> I did finish part 1 and started on part 2, but no finish, not even close
• stitch the first part of the Story Time Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery as soon as it comes out —> ☑️ YES, I finished Alice in Wonderland on January 24th, even though I’m not finished stitching the frames for all the following months, but I’m getting closer (two more rows to go)
• stitch one block of Once Upon a Time by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery (Goldilocks and the Three Bears) —> NO
• stitch one block of the Christmas Celebration Sampler (T) —> NO
• finish quilting and binding Taras’ autumn beddy and pillow —> NO but I did start on the duvet cover sewing project and I would have the front all sewn by now if I didn’t lose one whole week because of the flu.

February stitching goals:

• finish L*K’s ’13 mystery Holly & Hearts (2nd part started; I also would love to finish the three bonus designs that are part of this series as I move on in this sampler. I already started the first one)
• stitch the second part of the Story Time Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery + stitch the frames and banner (banner is almost finished, and I need only two rows of frames to be all caught up on those)
• stitch one block of Once Upon a Time by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery (Goldilocks and the Three Bears)
• stitch one block of the Christmas Celebration Sampler (T)
• finish quilting the Downton Abbey duvet cover sewing project

and about that first point in my goals list, here is my entry for January in the 2015 SMALL SAL: Lizzie*Kate Noël (first bonus designs included in Holly & Hearts 2013 mystery)

and I will continue this month with these three bonus designs, as well as a something else provided that I can get the fabric for it in time. more news on this very serendipitous piece another time. ❤️

Taras and I wish you a very nice day and recommend this very interesting, delightful reading/listening:

this is one of my all time favourite actors, Paolo Poli, reading the famous Italian traditional recipe book “La Scienza in cucina e l’Arte di mangiar bene” by Pellegrino Artusi, which you can read about here.

  1. You made good progress, considering your flu break – you know you are sick if you can’t stitch 🙂 I look forward to seeing more of you Hearts & Holly – I should have gotten in on that one, though I knew I didn’t have time at the time…

  2. That’s a good idea, to write your goals when you are half way through them already!
I love all the frames on the Story Time Sampler and seeing all the variations on FB.
I feel a nudge towards my blog in your post too?
