1. Lizzie*Kate – Noël (1 of 2 bonus designs included in the 2013 mystery series Holly & Hearts)
cross stitch, Satin Stitch, stitched on 40ct. Marzipan linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I modified the n-o-ë-l portion because I wanted it to be more fun to stitch, and add the dieresis on the e, so I used my handwriting and turned each letter into a tile.
2. Anchor/Coats kit FRC 150 – Forever Friends “Summer Swing” my very first cross-stitch kit stitched in 1997 and again in 2015
cross stitch, backstitch, Straight Stitch, stitched on 36ct. #52 raw Zweigart linen using the kitted up Anchor threads (1 over 2).
3. Lizzie*Kate – Sleigh (2 of 2 bonus designs included in the 2013 mystery series Holly & Hearts)
cross stitch, Lazy Daisy & French knots, stitched on 40ct. Marzipan linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I added a few colours from the H&H palette I chose; modified slightly the presents, letters and some of the motifs.
4. Little House Needleworks – I Love My Home (free design I received with my recent order from Inspired Needle in IL)
cross stitch, backstitch, stitched on 40ct. Marzipan linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I opted for the colour version of the chart (it can be stitched as a monochromatic piece too) and added a couple of tones to the palette.
5. Searching for Elsa scissor fob (I adapted a portion of Whispered By the Wind‘s Bookmark 2 free chart available here and turned it into a square motif)
cross stitch, backstitch, stitched on 40ct. white Zweigart linen with Mo’s Sale “Searching for Elsa” hand dyed thread (1 over 2).
6. Coronation scissor fob (I adapted a portion of Whispered By the Wind‘s Bookmark 2 free chart available here and turned it into a square motif)

cross stitch, backstitch, bead loops and streamers, stitched on perforated paper with DMC threads and Mill Hill beads and treasure included in the kit.
10. Lanarte – Little Frogs (“Little” Animals series)
cross stitch, backstitch, stitched on the 27ct. raw canvas & threads included in the kit (1 over 1, although the kit was meant for 2 over 1 in Tent Stitch).
11. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Pen Pals #202
cross stitch and backstitch, stitched on 28ct. Vaupel & Heilenbeck white linen with printed heart motifs in ecru with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 1). I couldn’t use the white because it wouldn’t show on this fabric so I added a light blue for the letter and letterbox and moved around a few colours.
12. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Strawberry Froyo Party (pink) ⭐️
cross stitch, backstitch, Mill Hill beads, stitched on 40ct. Cloudy Sky linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I signed the backside and added the date as it marks A Year with the Pumpkins. I fully finished it as a scissor fob using DMC thread for the sewing and cording.
13. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Strawberry Froyo Party (green) ⭐️
cross stitch, backstitch, French knots, stitched on 40ct. Cloudy Sky linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I signed the backside and added the date as it marks A Year with the Pumpkins. I fully finished it as a scissor fob using DMC thread for the sewing and cording.
14. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Christmas Celebration Sampler
cross stitch, backstitch and Speciality Stitches, stitched on 40ct. Cocoa linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I added small details and a few colours to the palette which is slightly different from the original.
15. Stitchers Anon – Holmsey Hare (travelling pattern – main piece) ⭐️
cross stitch, backstitch and Speciality Stitches, stitched on 40ct. Marble linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I added the Speciality Stitches and picked colours from my stash; I finished it as a pillow using Nina’s hand dyed lace and Downton Abbey fabrics from the Downstairs Collection by Andover.
16. Stitchers Anon – Holmsey Hare (travelling pattern – extra: scissor fob) ⭐️
cross stitch, backstitch, stitched on 40ct. Marble linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I created the chart for this fob using motifs from the main piece and turning them into a square; it’s fully finished as a two-sided scissor fob using DMC thread for the sewing and cording.
17. Stitchers Anon – Holmsey Hare (travelling pattern – extra: bookmark) ⭐️
cross stitch, backstitch, stitched on 40ct. Marble linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I created the chart for this bookmark using motifs from the main piece and turning some of them upside-down; it’s fully finished as a two-sided bookmark using Pellon and DMC thread.
18. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – All Hallows’ Eve
cross stitch, backstitch and Speciality Stitches, stitched on 40ct. Deep Midnight Blue linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I changed the colour palette, added small details and replaced regular cross stitch with Speciality stitches in many areas.
19. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Legendary Friends
cross stitch, backstitch and Speciality Stitches, stitched on 40ct. Fairy Dust linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). although I picked my own colours I didn’t diverge from the original colour palette much, but I replaced regular cross stitch with Speciality stitches in many areas.
20. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – The Bee Keeper
cross stitch, backstitch and Speciality Stitches, stitched on 40ct. Elm linen (not really sure if it’s actually Elm or some other green linen) hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2 and 1 over 1). although I picked my own colours I didn’t diverge from the original colour palette much, but I replaced regular cross stitch with Speciality stitches in many areas.
21. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Sweet Tooth ⭐️
cross stitch, backstitch, stitched on 40ct. pink linen (can’t remember how it’s called at the moment) hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). although I picked my own colours I didn’t diverge from the original colour palette much, but I replaced “Sweet Tooth” with a much sassier phrase using a font I personally charted. I fully finished it as a hanging ornament using DMC thread.
22. Blackbird Designs – Souvenir de France/Paris in the heart
cross stitch, stitched on 40ct. Deep Midnight Blue linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). I substituted “Souvenir de France” with “Paris in the heart” and charted the missing letters for it; the colour palette is obviously inspired by the French flag. you can read more about how this project came to life in these two posts: #JesuisCharlieneedlework and Paris in the heart.
23. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Cozy Gingerbread Snow Globe
cross stitch, stitched on 40ct. Fairy Dust linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). although I picked my own colours I didn’t diverge from the original colour palette much, but I replaced the snow globe with more snowflakes and “Merry Christmas” at the bottom.
24. The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery – Summer Sparkler Party ⭐️
cross stitch, stitched on 40ct. Cloudy Sky linen hand dyed by Nina with my own choice of Nina’s Threads (1 over 2). balloon in polymer clay hand made by Sabine aka Oeil2cha. stitched in 2014, I finally altered a few things and fully finished it as a pillow/hanging ornament using DMC threads for the finishing.
25. What Delilah Did – Cindermice Stitch Along part 1: Cindermouse ⭐️
Blanket Stitch, Back Stitch, Straight Stitch, French knot, Satin Stitch, Whip Stitch and Running Stitch hand stitched on felt with DMC cotton threads. pattern, access to video lessons and materials came with the kit subscription with Cloudcraft.
26. Cindermouse’s Winter/Christmas clothes (Rodent Atelier project)⭐️
I used What Delilah Did’s template for Cindermouse dress, altered it slightly and hand stitched the felt with DMC cotton threads. ribbon, trim and felt came from Cloudcraft; my choice of threads came out of my happily employed stash.
